Volunteering - better than TV

Be part of something fantastic

A volunteer is a willing person of any adult age who wants to help the mission. Sound like you? It’s a lot more fulfilling than watching TV and can be varied in nature and location.

Areas available for volunteer workers include:

In the UK:

  • Starting a prayer group
  • Promoting the children’s charity, Forget Me Not
  • Promoting support for mission workers
  • Providing writing skills
  • Providing office skills.

  • Assisting mission workers with either evangelistic or practical opportunities
  • Standing in for mission workers whilst they are on furlough
  • Assisting with children’s work
  • Providing skills to plan and carry out major projects such as water provision, mechanical repair or language training.

A volunteer worker will require a referee and the support of their home church. In the case of working overseas we require the applicant to complete a form and give agreement to Avail’s working practices.
