Blaesius and Helen Fultang live in Nkgongsamba, a town in the French speaking region of Cameroon.
Blaesius helped Les Wheeldon pastor a church in Nknogsamba, taking on the pastoral role in 1987. The church grew out of answered prayers and has spread to churches in remote villages and in at least three other towns. At home with their five children, Blaesius and Helen also looked after orphaned children and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
In the 1990s, inspired by the biography of George Muller of Bristol, they took the daring step to build a residential school.
Through a series of miracles they finished building in 2002. In the successive years, the Lord touched the lives of children and parents; today there are at least four preachers of the gospel who came to the Lord at the school. Others were delivered from demonic powers. Blaesius and Helen rejoiced in God for involving them what He was doing.
Pre Covid, above 500 children from all over Cameroon, Congo, Guinea, Gabon, France, Canada , USA and other places resided at the school. While numbers have since dropped, there is hope to help more children.
Sicknesses among the children, coupled with difficulties with local clinics and hospitals, prompted Blaesius and Helen to consider having their own clinic. Ten years of toil, patience and the grace of God, finally realised their vision; the clinic opened in 2018 and they have already seen some conversations.
We can only share a fragment of what God is doing with this friendly, exuberant and faith-filled couple.
