Judith Beattie

South Africa

Judith is from Northern Ireland and became a Christian at the age of 9. In her typical honesty, she relates with a sense of sadness how she walked away from the Lord in her late teens until the age of 30 but says that the last 15 years has been “a wonderful journey of restoration and growing in relationship with Jesus”. When you talk to Judith, she radiates a joy and commitment to the Lord, desiring only to do what He has called her to do, in whatever capacity that may be.

After working as a dietitian for 22 years, she took a career break in 2025 to serve the Lord in Madagascar, South Africa, and Thailand. Through those experiences, the Lord confirmed His calling for her life, and is leading her back to South Africa, to serve with the George Royal sports academy Christian school and train in biblical counselling and discipleship.

With a sense that God wants her to help believers who are struggling, drifting or those who have experienced trauma, Judith embraces Jesus’ command to ‘feed my sheep’ as much as she does the command of the Great Commission.

"Feed my Sheep" John 21:17

Here’s how she puts it: “God has given me a compassion for the hurting and broken and to see his children experience freedom from the truth of God’s word”

Looking ahead, after a year in George, South Africa, Judith plans to return to Northern Ireland where her desire is to see ministries develop that encourage and strengthen believers and in their relationship with Jesus.
