Sasha grew up in Malawi with her missionary parents. She met Kago (CJ for short) in Cape Town, South Africa at a discipleship training programme where, as team leaders, they were also furthering their training. Whilst there, they extended their studies to develop their filmmaking, photography and creative arts skills.
Kago worked and trained with Sasha in youth organisations in his home country of Botswana and also in South Africa.
For a year they worked at Kunsitha Farm, Mzuzu, Malawi, with Sasha’s parents who train farmers, gardeners and village leaders in conservation farming methods.
In 2022 they moved in South Africa where they work with a friend who owns a coffee shop and small farm. They’ve spent the time building relationships and getting to know their community, plugging into a church and serving at youth ministry. Kago has been walking on a discipleship journey with some of the young men working on the farm.
Meanwhile they are also establishing a media production company that focuses on telling other’s stories through short films and documentaries while providing a platform for youth that want to grow their media skills and share their own stories.
