Both Olaf and Manuel are from Germany but in reality their hearts are in Thailand and South East Asia where they have devoted their lives in children’s home ministries.
They heard the Lord calling them while living in the UK when a request came to run a home for displaced children in northern Thailand. Registering with Thai Christian Foundation in Chiang Mai, they moved there with their three children in 2000.
From 2000 to 2015 they pioneered the establishment of five homes in two countries and have now handed the work over to local Christians. Some of these leaders were looked after by Olaf and Manuel as children in their homes.
The Lord blessed their work and many children gave their hearts to Jesus as they discovered love, care and a place they could call home. It has been wonderful to hear reports of how many people they have been involved with over the years have become shining lights for the Gospel.
In 2015, Olaf and Manuela moved back to Germany but have made extensive visits to Thailand and the region, supporting the work remotely in the meantime.
In 2024 they moved back to Thailand, the place where their hearts have always been, to continue their work with numerous children’s homes, churches and refugees.
Please pray for them, remembering their call comes from the one and only Almighty God.
